Promotes sustainable practices through education and job training programmes in the recovery of building materials, and the creation of innovative models for their reuse. It also facilitates access to and trade in recovered materials.
In the five years since its creation in 2009, it has managed to:
- Divert thousands of tonnes of building materials from landfill to their reuse as quality materials.
- Generate job training opportunities across the value chain (for tasks such as deconstruction, material handling, storage, carpentry and retail sale) for 82 people with barriers to employment.
