Provides decent and stimulating job opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, converting recycled disused materials into attractive design furniture and selling them in their own shop.
Since opening in 2012, it has employed a total of 25 people: 14 work placement staff with intellectual disabilities, 8 volunteers and 3 permanent members of staff in charge of managing the project.
The main results of the impact study of the first quarter of 2014 based on the SROI methodology are:
- The social return on investment is estimated at 5.41 times; ie for every dollar invested in the project, it has returned €5.41 as social impact.
The net social impact in absolute terms during this period was €300,000.
